Paul Allen/ Andfotography2Coming up on the museum will be Between Rivers (18 October 2024 – 12 January 2025) a gaggle show of 12 contemporary artists who respond to the place of rivers in our lives at a second when they’re being profoundly reshaped by human activity. And in February 2025, the museum will present On Lies, Secrets and Silence a solo pictures show by Norwegian artist Frida Orupabo. Currently, there are two main buildings within the museum, Gedung A within the south, and Gedung B in the north. The third constructing Museum of Art, Gedung C, is planned as an extension to house and protect the museum’s intensive collection. By 2017, the old wing or Gedung Gajah was beneath main renovation, while Gedung C is under development. The Dutch pavilion at the 1931 Paris Colonial Exposition that was burned down in a fire, destroying some of the museum’s collectionsIn 1931, the museum’s collections had been exhibited on the World Colonial Exposition in Paris.
