Palembang (ANTARA News) – A total of 90 photos “fine art photography“The work of photographers who live in Palembang City is recorded, so that it can be a reference for art lovers in the form of images.

“We have had several exhibitions which were enthusiastically welcomed by visitors, so we finally published a photographic work with the theme “infinity, monochromatic translation of a visual journey,” said photographers Fahman Bajumi and Tidar Andy in Palembang, Tuesday (23/12).

According to Fahman, the photo work with a focus on “street and fine art photography” is dedicated to photography lovers not only domestically, but also internationally.

“Because of this, dozens of works, the majority of which were immortalized in South Sumatra, such as a very artistic picture of a boat in Lubuk Ketepeng and a shot of the Musi River from a different perspective,” he added.

He said that it took around four years of preparation to successfully print the book, which anyone interested can now own at a price of IDR 350,000 per copy.

“Publishing the book is also part of an effort to contribute to photographers in Palembang that not only other regions can produce work in book form, but we can,” he said.

Andy added that the 90 photos which are now an exclusive book were taken from various regions other than South Sumatra, such as Bali, Yogyakarta and Jakarta.

“Photo works that present art and aesthetics in black and white have a different perspective from other photo works,” he said.

He added, to produce interesting photographs, you don’t absolutely have to use a sophisticated and expensive camera.

However, photos of high artistic value can also be immortalized just using a mobile phone camera, he added.

Fahman and Andy took turns emphasizing that the branch of photography they have been studying for 10 years focuses on aesthetic and intellectual values ​​in their works.

Apart from being beautiful, the photo also contains meaning, although not everyone can translate it, said the photographer, who has an entrepreneurial background and a civil servant background.
